The Cottage

The cottage in the woods.
Thats what it was known as to those who avoided it. The cursed place, the place that parents kept their children away from, the place people went to die. Jesse's cottage. She had owned the small thatched roof since 1934 and lived in solitude. The way she liked it. The outside was beautiful structure that had lasted for so long, the brick wall and wooded framing around the porch extreamly old but held no blemish to sujest so. The large door was arched in beautiful wood that added character to the old building, the eldest building and evily constructed. Not what you would expect from one so evil. The interior was modern, with a living room as soon as you entered with a kitched just feet away with all the modern appliances on wooden surfaces. Barley used, that kitchen, unless she decided to bring a mortal home for the games she liked to play with them.
Playing with mortals was fun. Torturing them, letting them think there was a fighting chance to escape, letting them get as far as the large redwood that grew in the 'garden', then taking them back and tasting the sweet fount of blood that she took by force. Sweet sweet heaven.
Sometimes she left her Cottage, spent her time with the Articulate Clan in Rue Royal, New Orleans with the coven master and his deciples. But for now, she stopped in the doorway of her little home with its plentyfull bedrooms, its en suit bathrooms and basement only she knew of... Once a mortals home, now a vampires. The Cottage was not what it seemed. Example? Take the basement. Expect it to be something of a safety shelter? For disasters? No. There she hid by day. There she kept the big metal door that could only be locked and unlocked from the inside. The door that no mortal could penetrate. That most young ones couldn't even touch. There she slept by day in the middle coffin of stone, lead and gold. Again- no mere mortal could touch it. See? not what you would expect at all. So there you have it, Jesse's cottage. Be warned, no entry.
